anyways. am back, in case anyone's wondering. back for nearly two weeks now. surely it was all the moving and lack of internet thenceforth plus busy temple st and peripheral rotations that have rendered me slow-to-blog. but anyways. am off livejournal and back here in blogger, for the next three months anyways. so lets start off with a funny story. i started my second week of paediatrics by taking a 6.30 bus to wexford to make the ward rounds at 9.30. and so five days of sub-urban paediatrics should have commenced. tragedy struck when i fell ill on day two, so all of tuesday was spent in bed in the b&b, other than photo-taking in the gardens and a quick trip to the beach with the girls.anyhoo, wednesday was an early start and was as long as monday. for some unknown reason kitorg dapat sign dr consultant yang superbaik, and after long arduous moments of negotiation, half the group decided to pulang ke ibu negara.sebab2 utama adalah (i) nak balik ;), (ii) nak raya, (iii) presentation monday, (iv) havent finished unpacking since the move, and most importantly, (v) wasn't feeling well, which was probably viral. anyways so i kembali safe and sound. and this morning, i got a phone call that literally caught my breath."hiya, im mary from temple st hospital, and im just calling to inform you that someone found your book"my heart pun terberhenti lak. alamak kantoi balik awal from wexford ke? knapa dia call, bukan marie cuti ke smpi friday? bagus nye dia, efficient btul. god, im in so much trouble. buku apa dia tanya ni? lunch vouchers ke? itu pun nk call?and then it struck me. it wasn't marie from wexford, it was mary from temple st hospital. nasib baik. why in the world would kedua2 hospital ni ada student coordinator yang nama lebih kurang??so basically mary rang me to tell me that the book i misplaced in temple street during week 1 was found back where i left it. mary reckons someone borrowed it and just put it back there. don't mind that, really. just want it back coz its borrowed, not mine. and so the moral remains, kalau dah balik awal tu, be prepared for the risk of kekantoian. haha. anyways happy raya to all. kisses!
