the first inkling of abandonment in any child came about with pigeons. or any random bird for that matter. look, here. the creature is standing there in front of you. its beautiful. its alive. and its breathing. and even at that age you know it is.
so you walk towards it. and no matter how quiet or careful you are you're never going to touch it. the very instant you think you got it it'll fly/run?/waddle away. you don't understand because you had no intention to hurt the thing but there it goes anyway. never giving you the benefit of the doubt. always assuming the worse of you.
so yeah. how can we expect ourselves to grow all well and free of negative psychological manifestations when even
a bird won't give us the time of day? (random)
