"life has to be a mess, or else its just thursdays strung together."

or so says (due to my horrible short-term memory, not quite word-by-word), one of those midweek movies. makes me love wednesdays.

today something great happened. something small and different. things are in their usual shitty ways, but within that is a wonder. and a little wonderful always makes many subsequent wonderfuls.

and i watched educating rita today, and was convinced it was filmed in trinity college. and it was! it tickled me so. that was until i saw the UCD library circa '83, which got me laughing my guts out. the movie was a little more than that as well. i see my current struggles in so many of those scenes. and it wasn't soppy with a predictable ending either, which was a welcome change. i loved it. i did.

etched in many different surfaces i saw days from months ago. it reminds me that some things will always remain special. and thank goodness some things will just always remain the same. applies also to conversations with the mak. she achieved in 20 minutes what i failed miserably in 3 days. guess she does know best, huh?

these have been the worst days i've had in the last months and so im so very glad may is ending happy.
