today two things happened that made me go urgh and dem, subsequently. on a positive note, let's just say that all the hullabaloo does prove that i am most definitely straight. there has been a little bit too much time and emotion spent mulling over the idiosyncrasies that come with being with that particular gender. hahaanyhoo here are ten reasons why i love my new house:1. electric shower2. relaxed and detached atmosphere 85% of the time3. went to spar around the corner and found myself facing a fridgeful of ben & jerry's chocolate temptation screaming in my face. hence the knowledge that emotional salvation is only 50 meters and 6.95 Euros away. yes!!4. the bed is supersleepable. i had <5>
5. the frequency of buses and the nearness of everything to everywhere else. even though i have to take 2 buses to college, they're v efficient ones and the stops excellently placed *yawning slightly*
6. tv. i cant imagine how we stayed in the maples without one. life is just the teeniest bit staler without it.
7. it's out and beyond the usual student territories. sometimes something new is the next best thing (to what, im not too sure).
8. nice rent! i'm paying less than maples, and our allowances are going up so whoopdeedoo!
9. its underground! okay, it's below street level. i don't know why, but that makes it so much more fun now doesn't it?
10. it's mine.
i found myself debating over the over-used terms. like how some people say that some girls can have any guy they want (and vice versa). does that happen, now? i don't know anyone personally who has had this ability. everyone just seems to have a sad story about something. but maybe the idea of any guy/girl is the variable. some people push themselves to want only what they can have, maybe with the idea of avoiding unnecessary problems and messy heartbreaks. and maybe at times even though one gets the person one wants, things might not be as happy and mess-free as one would want it to be. so who wants what now? personally, i dont buy this selective shit. to me, there's no outright benefit to being half-assed and not having the balls to do and be. i read somewhere that falling i love/ finding yourself in a relationship is like trying to fly off a cliff. you have to jump far and hard and hope against all hopes that you would fly, but chances are you will fall down, and fall down hard. i agree. there is no way you would be able to be fully committed to any relationship if you are not willing to go all out. and with that comes the risk of getting hurt. that was probably the best analogy i've come across lately.
so im going to do that (already did, actually). fall headfirst, had a whale of a time, and sorta ended up cut and bruised. and i wouldn't do it any other way.
haha my thoughts on tomorrow? im crazyscared. but at the same time already deciding what to wear and actually doing some homework for it. eeek. how relatively bangang is this first timer?
oh p.s. - breakup song: imogen heap's goodnight and go. and today's (eh tomorrow's!) theme song is pwts' sing my best.
