i just finished off with watching
the lake house (this blog oft presents itself as a movie review lately!) and i found it actually very predictable, although the ending was satisfyingly unique. it had all it needed to pack a jiwang punch, though they could have had someone less kayu than keanu reeves playing alex, but im not complaining with regards to eye candy.
the movie was really nice. very 2006, and somehow toying with the same mind-boggling time-trespassing escapades of
deja vu. it was a very nice movie.
speaking of movies, i realized suddenly that some songs are made for movies. or perhaps vice versa. many examples speak of this, mainly rufus wainright's
halelujah, which has played in at least 3 movies/series. another favourite predominantly found in chick flicks is natalie cole's
this will be. the song appeared in the parent trap, while you were sleeping etc etc. mostly classics play by these rules. a lot of beach boys (note: deja vu, never been kissed) and beatles-ish songs. but its funny how the repetition is accepted whole. the song fits the movie, not in the same way every time. each its unique, distinct persona.
its post-xmas so, life is more about shopping than celebrating the season to be jolly. i am suddenly pissed, chagrined, and lost. so here is to how tommorow will turn out.
falalalala lala la la.
arrrgh im so mad. *&^%$#$%^&*&$%
