i have been itching to have things blogged ever since i woke up from my rather unnecessary, yet much-needed nap. im glad to announce (?) that im up and motivatedly studying despite having the odds stacked against me a few hours ago.

i was contemplating about the whole idea on enjoying the course. of late, a lot of incidences has left me questioning on whether or not i like doing medicine. i was recently asked outright, i was also discussing this with dan i think, and faizal also somehow made me wonder if and really if i enjoy the course.

question is, must i? im not saying im not, but im just wondering about the validity of this issue. must one be in absolute and complete love with the profession in order to be a good doctor? the more i think about it the more probable it is, but im just wondering.

and would it be fine, then, to not be in complete and utter love with the medical profession due to present states of mind? perhaps if one is temporarily incapable of devoting one's undivided attention to the idiosyncracies that engulf the whole thing, does that make one a worse doctor?

there are abundant, though fictitious, unbecoming characters in the medical field within our tv screens(house, cox, etc), and so do they prove the seemingly obvious - that what matters at the end of the day is how good you are./?

in my case now, i think that i like this course. i enjoy knowing things about the human body and psyche and how that can be applied to myself and to everyone around me. i would love to help people, and to make a difference, whether it is to myself and my life, or for the benefit of others. i believe my capabilities are appropriately exploited in this field. i want to make my family proud. i want to be a doctor.

but honestly, med school is sometimes crap. its just my personal opinion and im sure deep down, many others feel my pain. the workload sux, the expectations suck, the need to prove oneself sux. but in life, nothing comes easy, and so if you want to get to something good, the getting there won't be. reaching the peak of the mountain requires the climb etc etc

and so, my point is we wont know till we're there. i dont know if ill make a good doctor, but i do hope i will.

on a lighter note, i realize everytime i want to type the letter q, i always end up typing w. probably because its underused. but interesting nontheless. i wonder if they would ever change the qwert sequence if everyone starts typing a lil too fast.

qweasqweasqweasqweasqweas. i believe qweas is the fastest and easiest sequence to type, and for obvious reasons.

im also really excited about coming up with my own mnemonic for something in neuroscience. i so totally feel like a med student now. har har har.

anyways, back to crunch time. ive procrastinated long enough already. im going to ba a good girl today.

*winks*
