im filled with an uncanny sense of wonder. i was thinking about situations and problems in life and how sometimes, there is no way of solving it. i am merely flanking its borders, avoiding the issue that bottles up within. abstain, not absolve. it just filled me with tepid surrealness all of a sudden.

anyways we had a GIT test today, which i personally thought could have been worse. for one, dr ettarh gave us a whole lot of questions, tallying at 18 seconds per question. as far as reading and assimilating the questions are concerned, the time is just enough. that rather obviously does not include the answering and marking the answer sheets part. but then again, having that many questions (100 questions in 30 minutes, if it isnt apparent already) increases our chances of getting things wrong, but it also adds to the possibility of scoring for the test. if he were to give us 50 questions, then each question would have had a heavier bearing and hence possibility of scoring is reduced.

besides, i think if we read everything, and take note of everything the lecturer says in the class, there's a possibility that we could have found the paper quite manageable. it didnt require much external reading, so lect notes would suffice.

anyhoo, nuff of exam talk. i had delish tomyam at 62 whilst watching football with the guys. evidently, they didnt think much of my football knowledge but thats just how it goes. 99% of the time they get it right. how often would you come across a girl who understands football(or any sport, in this case)? without them even saying anything, i could sense that they're wondering if i understood bola. if i knew my free kicks and my offsides (i do, in case anyone's wondering). but thats just the typical stereotypical thing going on haha and no, it doesnt irk me coz its just football. but it was interesting though. to gauge and to see the reactions of these guys. haha anyway man u deserved to kalah hahahaha. (d would understand this particular paragraph more so than anyone else. oh btw, thnx for dinner!)

okay. i have to admit maybe me taking this women's studies module has given me a splice of the feminist image. i do generally bergerak solo and prefer to do things my own way but i also sense that people seem to feel like i am this anti-guys kinda character. haha entahlah kenapa. i noticed this once or twice. maybe its just in my imagination. but all i can attest to is that im pretty much the same person, and the only way this module has affected me is to how it has given me ideas and knowledge about how the world works. hehe.

i loved looking at the pics of raya. we all looked so happy. and i think despite the many downsides, raya over here isnt all bad. we DO get rendang, lemang, lodeh, and the whatnots we claim to be missing from our raya(if we look at the right places). we also have those moments, pictures of a dozen (more or less) twenty-somethings, wearing their raya best + a jacket to ward off the cold, all smiles on raya day; instead of the retrograde family portraits and raya oft spent in front of the tv. not many people would have had the experience of spending raya in this unusual manner, with lovely pics to prove it. not many would have had the experience of preparing their own raya delicacies, planning their days within raya and having exams during raya week(okay, so the last point isn't really a positive one). but what is raya if not a celebration? irregardless of where and who we celebrate it with?

anyways im actually pooped and i think i should perhaps watch a dvd or sleep, whichever sounds more fun. i have a dvd rental long overdue and parents eager to know what i have been up to. im feeling happy right now, warm and fuzzy inside and thinking of how nice it is not to have to peruse GIT lecture notes, complete an essay, or stress myself out over choreography. life is more beautiful this way.
