I was watching a talk show on channel 4
On Chinese New Year night
And there was this little girl
Obviously oriental
But speaking perfect Gaeilge
Being interviewed by the show’s host
In Gaelic
And he asked her to say something in Chinese
And she said something like
Shing Her Kwai Ler
So in my living room
Im filled with utter bewilderment
The people on my idiot box are speaking two languages
I don’t even understand
